1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Kerfstead, operated by Sontairo DBA Kerfstead ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use Kerfstead for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter an agreement.

2. Estimating software and your responsibilities

Kerfstead helps you draw, visualize, price, and prepare estimates for countertops, cabinets, wall panels, and related work. You are responsible for checking measurements, material availability, costs, taxes, margins, and proposal terms before relying on an estimate or sharing it with a customer.

Drawings and 3D previews are estimating aids. They are not fabrication-ready plans, engineering advice, or a substitute for field measurements and professional judgment. Cutout previews, support volumes, and material appearances may be illustrative. Kerfstead does not currently provide CNC export, slab nesting, or automated customer acceptance. You remain responsible for your work and agreements with your customers.

3. Accounts, workspaces, and permissions

Keep your sign-in details secure, provide accurate account information, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Each person must use their own account. Workspace owners manage members, permissions, and billing. Only invite people authorized to access that workspace; a member can see business and customer information permitted by their role. Account settings are personal, while workspace settings and subscriptions belong to the workspace.

4. Subscriptions and seats

Prices are in US dollars. A workspace costs $90 per month or $900 per year and includes the owner’s seat. Each additional member costs $90 per month or $900 per year on the workspace’s billing interval. For example, an owner and two additional members require three seats: $270 monthly or $2,700 annually. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the chosen interval until you cancel renewal. Stripe processes payments for Sontairo. Review the price, seat quantity, renewal interval, and any prorated charges shown in Stripe before confirming a purchase or change. Removing a member does not automatically reduce purchased seats; the owner must adjust the subscription in Manage billing & seats. Purchased seats must cover current members.

Creating an account or workspace does not itself charge you. The browser demo is free. A paid subscription is required for cloud editing unless we explicitly grant complimentary access. We may change prices for future periods with advance notice; a change does not alter a period already paid for.

5. Cancellation, refunds, and access

The owner can cancel renewal through Workspace settings → Billing → Manage billing & seats before the renewal date. Editing continues through the paid period, subject to these terms. After that period, saved workspace content remains available to view and export unless the account is deleted or access is suspended for a reason described below. Cancellation does not request deletion.

Except where required by law or expressly agreed by us, fees for a paid period are non-refundable and unused time is not refunded. Contact us promptly about billing errors. Mandatory cancellation and refund rights under applicable law are unaffected.

6. Your data and our software

You retain your rights to information you enter or upload. You give us permission to host, process, display, and transmit it as needed to operate Kerfstead and carry out your instructions. You are responsible for having permission to provide customer and business information and for keeping independent exports of important work.

We and our licensors retain rights to the software, branding, and service. While you comply with these terms, you may use the service for your authorized business purposes. You may not resell access, bypass seat limits, access another workspace without permission, disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, or use Kerfstead unlawfully.

7. Optional integrations

Google Drive, QuickBooks Online, and other third-party connections are optional, depend on provider availability, and are subject to the provider’s terms. Review the permissions presented before connecting. You can disconnect through Account settings → Integrations or revoke access with the provider.

Connecting an account alone does not send proposals, import accounting records, or run a synchronization. Only use an integration workflow when it is available and review its specific action before proceeding. Kerfstead is not endorsed by Google or Intuit.

8. Availability and ending access

We maintain and improve the service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free results. Features may change. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, unlawful use, a material breach, or a security threat. Where practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue or export data. If we discontinue the paid service, we will provide reasonable advance notice and address prepaid unused service with affected owners.

9. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the accuracy or profitability of estimates made from your inputs.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us for the affected workspace during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud or willful misconduct, or limit your non-waivable rights.

10. Changes and questions

We may update these terms. We will post the revised date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the service or an account contact. Changes apply prospectively. Contact dom@menchistholdings.com about a concern so we can try to resolve it. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies provided by applicable law.
